EHRC's Annual Paul Harris Dinner, held on April 18th, brought in a nearcapacity crowd of 120, filling The Gallery in Glastonbury's hall with fellowship and good cheer.  This year's event was expertly planned by relatively new members Bob Buettner and Janice Freschlin and was led by the master of master of ceremonies, PP Dan Larson.  Special "guests' included our own District Governor Sue Klock and Assistant Governor Michael Barnett and his wife Linda, as well as families and friends of this year's four Paul Harris Fellow recognition recipients:  Rachel Buck, EH CIBA Interact Club leader and EH Rotarians Mo Moshovos, Chuck Clarke and Sheryl O'Connor.

Following more than an hour of refreshments, hor d'oerves and socializing, Dan Larson rang the bell, the Rotary song was sung and DG Sue provided an inspiring invocation, reminding us all of the core values of Rotary, including "Service Above Self".  President Peter Klock welcomed all and put in a plug for our upcoming Duck Race/Family Day fundraiser in June, making sure everyone knew that duck race tickets were available.

After a sumptious dinner, Art Bradbury, Herb Barall, Bill Saunders and Frank Collins each stepped up to the microphone and provided the biographies and their personal memories of the four recipients, who in turn introduced family members and friends present and spoke briefly about their experiences in Rotary.  Each recipient was then presented a Paul Harris medal or pin by President Peter and DG Sue.  Congratulations and fellowship were shared after the bell was rung, bringing a memorable evening to a close.  For additional pictures of the event, click on the arrow in the box below, or click on the Photo Albums link at top of Home Page.
