On Friday, November 7, several members of the club presented Principal Correa at the Franklin Mayberry Elementary School with five new iPads for student use. It is the second year in a row that the East Hartford Rotary Club has supported the school with an iPad request.

President Mary Martin, Nate Quesnel, Bob Buettner and Susan Hansen were treated to an impressive demonstration of iPad use by Ms. Miller's first grade class. Her students use the iPad's video capabilities to record themselves  practicing the steps to holding a respectful conversation. After recording the conversation, students play back the video, watch themselves, and score themselves on how well they followed the correct model. The kids were very happy to receive the five new 16GB iPads, complete with covers and $50 gift cards for iTunes app purchases.
