Thanks to the remarkable generosity of the late Ms. Gioconda McGettigan, the East Hartford Rotary Scholarship Fund has increased by $100,000. Ms. McGettigan was a client of our late Rotarian brother, Bill Leone, who helped her compile her will and distribute her estate. Ms. McGettigan was originally from Pennslyvania before settling in East Hartford.
Upon completing probate, her estate distributed bequests to several charities she supported, including libraries, schools and churches. She also made gifts to her neighbor and the neighbor's children, who kept an eye on her welfare.
