Today was bright and sunny for our Rotary Meeting. Attendees were Rob, Ceil, Dan, Hope, Guy, Charles, John, Pat, Anwar, Sue, Peter, Bob, George, Marc, Jack, Jim and Neal. Our guests today were Rachel Buck and MacKenzie Mace.

Rob rang the bell at 12 Noon and called the meeting to order. Bob led the Pledge of Allegiance and Dan gave the invocation. The message was “worship and do good in our own ways”.

Meeting continued with Rob calling it a good day with lots of people attending. Trivia Winners were Guy, MacKenzie and Charles.

Rachel spoke about her Rotary history and Interact at SEBA. Mackenzie is a co-adviser to Interact. Last year, they focused on homelessness, held a car wash and a fundraiser for breast cancer and a Fall clean-up (four years in November), a PJ day, provided baby blankets, Strands of Hope in June for children with hair loss and garden clean up. In the past, they have provide a Clean Water day, raised money for Hello Haiti and Puerto Rico, created Night of a Thousand Dinners, Abelon Walk, Bingo, Rebuilding Together which helps older folks, Shelter Box and one of their graduates started a club at Vassar. Very impressive!

Our raffle currently has a $95 jackpot. Marc was the winner today but did not pull the Ace of Spades. Bigger jackpot next week!

Don’t forget our August Lunchapalooza. The member who invites the most guests to lunch throughout the month will be crowned the winner and receive a prize!
