Cloudy weather at Goodwin for our Rotary Meeting today. Attendees were Jack, Ceil, George, Dan, Hope, Rob, Bob, Anwar, Guy, Charles, Charlie and Neal. Our guest today was Josh Baker, who is a Financial Advisor.

There was a Golf Tournament meeting prior to our meeting today. More info in Announcements below.

Rob rang the bell at 12 Noon and called the meeting to order. He led the Pledge of Allegiance and Four Way Test. Bob gave the invocation about the many things we receive from being a Rotarian.

Lunch was from First & Last was chicken, pasta and salad. Excellent!

Upcoming Events

• Our Foodshare volunteer event is March 17, 12:30 pm. Call Anwar if you would like to participate.

• Paul Harris Dinner is April 23 at Maneeley's in South Windsor. $60 per person with a cash bar. Let Ceil know if you will be attending.

• "Day of Service" is scheduled for May 13. Check their website for possible events for us.

• Our Golf Tournament is June 16 this year. Hole in One prize as well as a 50/50 Raffle. Target is $25,000.

• Hope and Dan Firestone are coordinating a Rotary Event for several upcoming presentations at the Playhouse on Park in West Hartford. We need eight attendees for a 10% discount. The first play is The Irish...And How They Got That Way on Saturday, March 29. Regular tickets are $45. This is followed by a Comedy Show on May 17, $20 per ticket. The Baroness is playing from June 5-22 which is also a comedy. Please call Hope and Dan, 860-930-3476, if you are interested in attending.

Our Raffle pot is now $456. Guy won Pull 2 but no big winner.

Caring thoughts are going out this week for Rob’s wife, Jaja and Dan Firestone.
