Chinese Culture
Dec. 11, 2019
For the second year in a row, East Hartford High School is honored to have been selected to participate in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program (TCLP), a program sponsored by the Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State. EHHS is hosting Fangzheng Xin. Mr. Xin is from Dezhou, China where he has taught English to both middle school and high school students for the past 6 years. At EHHS Mr. Xin will teach three sections of Chinese 1. In addition, he must provide 8-10 outreach activities per month in order to spread appreciation for Chinese language and culture. This outreach should happen both at EHHS and in the community for both adults and children. Mr. Xin would love to visit your organization to give a presentation, workshop or class. He has a wide list of topics he feels comfortable presenting on (I have included a link below) and is also open to any of your suggestions. Please reach out to me at grant.es@easthartford.org if you are interested in having Fangzheng Xin visit your organization. Thank you for your time and looking forward to hearing from you!
